India software and services exports are expected to cross the $40 billion mark
India software and services exports are expected to cross the $40 billion mark in FY08 contributing nearly 64 per cent to the overall revenue aggregate, says the findings of Strategic Review 2008 by IT industry trade body Nasscom. The domestic market is expected to touch $23 billion in 2008.
The review also said that the industry is optimistic of achieving its aspired target of $60 billion by 2010 in software and services exports and $73-75 billion in overall software and services revenues by 2010.
For the financial year 2007, the total IT industry was $48 billion. The total software and services revenue was $31.3 billion and IT/ITeS revenue was $9.5 billion for FY2007.
